🌿सुन्तलाजातको संरक्षित संरचनाका नर्सरीमा रोग–कीराबाट सुरक्षित राख्न दोहोरो द्वार प्रणाली अवलम्बन गरी स्वस्थ बिरुवा उत्पादन गरौँ /
“स्वस्थ बिरुवा नै स्वस्थ
बगैँचाको पहिलो आधार हो ” फलफूल खेतीमा राम्रो उत्पादन लिन स्वस्थ बिरुवा छनोटदेखि फल
टिपाइसम्मका प्रत्येक काम सही समयमा र सही तरिकाले गर्नुपर्छ। सुन्तलाजात फलफूलमा
लाग्ने ग्रिनिंग रोग सिट्रस सिल्ला(Diaphornia citri) नामक कीरा तथा ट्रिष्टिजा
भाइरस रोग(CTV), लाहि जस्ता कीराबाट सर्ने भएकाले फलफूलका
संरक्षित नर्सरीमा ४० मेस साइजको जाली प्रयोग गरी कीरा मुक्त गराउनु पर्दछ । बाहिरबाट मानिस, जुत्ता, औजार तथा अन्य माध्यमबाट रोग
र कीरा नर्सरीभित्र प्रवेश
गर्न सक्छन्। त्यसैले संरक्षित नर्सरीको प्रवेशद्वारमा दुई तहको ढोका प्रणाली अपनाउनुपर्छ। एउटा ढोका बन्द गरेपछि मात्र अर्को ढोका
खोल्ने व्यवस्था गर्दा बाहिरबाट रोगकिराको संक्रमण घटाउन सहयोग पुग्छ। साथै नर्सरीभित्र
अनावश्यक मानिसको प्रवेश रोकौँ र प्रयोग गरिने औजार तथा सामग्री सफा राखौँ।
शुरुवातमा नै रोगकिराको पहिचान गरी एकिकृत रोगकिरा
व्यवस्थापन पद्दति अपनाऔ
रोग तथा कीराले
ठूलो क्षति गरेपछि मात्र व्यवसाथापन गर्ने
बानीमा सुधार गरि बगैँचाको नियमित निरीक्षण गर्ने, पात, पालुवा, फूल, फल र
हाँगामा देखिएका असामान्य लक्षण सुरुमै पहिचान गर्ने, समस्या पहिचान भएपछि उपयुक्त जैविक, यान्त्रिक
तथा आवश्यक अवस्थामा सिफारिसअनुसार अन्य उपाय अपनाऔं। स्वस्थ बोट उत्पादनका लागि नर्सरी
तथा बगैँचामा नियमित रूपमा बोटबिरुवाको निरीक्षण गरौं। रोग वा कीराको प्रारम्भिक
लक्षण देखिएमा पहिले त्यसको सही पहिचान गरौं र व्यवस्थापनका उपायहरु अपनाऔं । यथासम्भव
रोगग्रस्त संक्रमित भाग हटाउने, रोगी पात तथा फल नष्ट गर्ने, बगैँचा
सफा राख्ने, कीरालाई हातले टिपेर नष्ट गर्ने तथा बोटलाई समय समयमा
काटछाँट गरी प्रकाश तथा हावाको उचित व्यवस्था गर्ने एवं भौतिक जैविक तथा अन्य रासायनिक
बिधिबाट रोगकिरा व्यवस्थापन गरौं। बिषादि प्रयोग गर्नु परेको खण्डमा सिफारिश गरिएको विषादी, सही
मात्रामा, सही समयमा प्रयोग गरौं ।
काँटछाँट गरी हटाइएका रोगी तथा संक्रमित भागहरु बगैँचामै नछाडि
जलाउने वा गाड्ने गरौं । त्यस्ता हाँगा रोग फैलाउने स्रोत बन्ने हुंदा जलाउने वा
गाड्ने गर्नुपर्छ र काँटछाँटमा प्रयोग भएका औजार पनि निर्मलिकरण गरौ ।
“रोग–कीरा लाग्न नदिनु नै असल कृषि अभ्यास हो ।
बोट हेर्ने बानी बसालौँ, रोग–कीरा
फैलिनुअघि नियन्त्रण गरौँ!”
“स्वस्थ माउ बोटबाट सायन लिइ कलमी गरौ, छिटो र एकरुपको उत्पादन लिऔँ!”
फलफूलको कलमी बिरुवा उत्पादन गर्दा स्वस्थ रोगरहित र राम्रो
जातको माउबोटबाट सायन छनौट गरी कलमी बिरुवा उत्पादन गरौ । कलमी बिरुवामा मातृबोटमा
रहेका गुणहरू सबै कायम हुने तथा बीउबाट उत्पादन भएका बिरुवाको तुलनामा
सामान्यतया छिटो फल लाग्ने हुंदा उच्च घनत्व प्रविधिका लागि समेत बोटहरु उपयुक्त
हुन्छन् ।
बिरुवा रोप्दा कलमी गरिएको जमिनमाथि पारौँ र कलमी घाउ बाँधिएको
सामग्री समयमै हटाऔँ
कलमी जोडिएको भाग माटोको सतहभन्दा माथि रहने गरी
रोप्नुपर्छ। समय समयमा कलमी गरेको भाग भन्दा माथिको सायनको भागको अवस्था अनुगमन
गरिरहनुपर्छ । मूलबृत्तबाट पालुवा पलाई नचाहिएको बोट बृद्दि हुन पुग्दा कलमी
भागको साथै रुटस्टबाट पालुवा पलाइ
नचाहिएको बोटको बृद्दि हुन पुग्छ जसले गर्दा कलमी भागको अपेक्षित बृद्दि हुन
पुग्दा कलमी भागको अपेक्षितमुलबृत्तबाट बृद्दि कमजोर हुन सक्छ । माटोमा बढी
चिस्यानका कारण कलमी जोडिएको भागमा समस्या आउन सक्ने वा बोट ओइलाउने हुन सक्छ । कलमी जोडिएको भागभन्दा तल माउबोटबाट निस्केका
अनावश्यक पालुवा पनि नियमित रूपमा हटाउनुपर्छ। कलमी सफल भएपछि बाँधिएको प्लास्टिक
वा अन्य सामग्रीलाई समयमै निरीक्षण गरी हटाउनु पर्छ ।प्लाष्टिक वा बाधिएको पदार्थ
धेरै समयसम्म राख्दा बोट बढ्दै गइ काण्ड कसिन पुग्छ र काण्डमा घेरा परेको जस्तो भई रस तथा पोषक
तत्वको आवतजावतमा बाधा पुग्छ र बोट कमजोर भै पछी भांचिने समस्या हुने हुंदा कलमी
जोडिएको भाग राम्रोसँग जोडीएर पालुवा पलाइसकेपछी बाँधिएको सामग्री सावधानीपूर्वक
हटाउनुपर्छ।त्यसैले “कलमी जोडौँ, जोडिएको
भाग माटोमाथि राखौँ र बाँधिएको सामग्री जस्तै प्लाष्टिक जुट आदि समयमै हटाऔँ।”
मिश्रित मल (Fertigation) प्रणाली खेती प्रविधि अपनाई व्यवसायिक फलफूल
खेती उत्पादन गरौं
व्यवसायिक बगैचामा पानी मिश्रितमलको आवश्यकता बोटको उमेर, जात, माटो, मौसम
तथा वृद्धि र फलधारणको अवस्थाअनुसार फरक पर्छ । फूल फुल्ने, फल
लाग्ने, फल बढ्ने तथा फल पाक्ने समयमा मलपानीको आवश्यकता फरक एवं
सामान्यभन्दा बढि हुन सक्छ।
फलफूलबोटको जराक्षेत्रमा आवश्यक मात्रामा पानी र पानीमा
घुलनशिल मललाई थोपा सिँचाइबाट पुर्याउने क्रियालाई फर्टिगेसन भनिन्छ। बिरुवाको
अवस्था अनुसार यसरी दिइने मलको मात्रा र घनत्व बोटको बृद्दि संगै थपघट हुने गर्दछ
। धेरै मल वा धेरै पानी दिँदैमा उत्पादन बढ्ने
नभइ समुचित मल उचित बृद्दि अवस्थामा दिन अनिवार्य हुन्छ । जस्तो बिरुवाको सानो
बृद्दि अवस्थामा वानस्पतिक बृद्दि गर्न पानीसंगै नाइट्रोजन मल दिन आवश्यक पर्छ भने
फल लाग्ने बेला पोटास र जराको बृद्दि गर्न फस्फोरसमल जुन पानीमा घुलनशिल छन् तिनको
प्रयोग गर्नुपर्छ । तर अत्यधिक घनत्वको मलले जरामा क्षति, माटोमा
लवणको मात्रा बढ्ने तथा अनावश्यक पैसा मात्र खर्च हुनेहुदा समस्या निम्त्याउन
सक्छ। त्यसैले माटो परीक्षण, बोटको अवस्था, उत्पादनको मात्रा र मौसमलाई
ध्यानमा राखेर मलको मात्रा निर्धारण गर्नुपर्छ।
फलफूल बगैंचामा आवश्यकतानुसार तालिम तथा काटछाँट गरौं
गुणस्तरीय फल उत्पादन गरौं ।
फलफूलका बोटलाई जथाभावी बढ्न दिँदा बोटको छत्र बाक्लो हुन
सक्छ। यस्तो अवस्थामा बोटको भित्री भागमा घाम र हावा कम पुग्छ, रोगको
सम्भावना बढ्छ तथा फलको रङ, आकार र गुणस्तरमा असर पर्न सक्छ।
बिरुवाको सानै अवस्थादेखि मुख्य काण्ड र सहायक हाँगालाई
उचित दिशामा विकास गराउनुपर्छ। मुख्य काण्डबाट करिब ६० देखि ९० डिग्रीको कोणमा
बाहिरतर्फ फैलिएका बलिया हाँगा ४५ -६० से.मि. का फरकमा
नियमित ४ बर्षसम्म तालिम दिई बोटलाइ एक निश्चित आकार दिनुपर्छ । यस क्रममा एकअर्कामा जेलिएका, भित्रतर्फ
गएका, कमजोर, सुक्खा, रोगी, घर्षण
हुने तथा अत्यधिक ठाडो रूपमा बढेका तथा पानीसराजन्य चोरहाँगा हटाउनुपर्छ।
यसरी बोटलाई उचित आकार दिदा कार्यले बोट बलियो हुने, प्रकाश र हावाको राम्रो वितरणमा सहयोग पुग्ने मल
बिषादि प्रयोग गर्न सहज भै गुणस्तरीय फल उत्पादनमा सहयोग पुग्छ ।
“काँटछाँट हाँगा घटाउने काम
मात्र होइन, बोटको उत्पादन संरचना सुधार्ने काम हो।”
स्याउबालीमा नियमित रुपमा
काँटछाँट गरी गुणस्तरीय फल फलाऔं।
“स्याउको काँटछाँट भन्नाले हाँगा
काट्ने मात्र नभई, बोटको जीवनभरको व्यवस्थापन समेत हो!”
स्याउको बोट बढ्दै जाँदा नयाँ हाँगा, फल
दिने कोपिला र बोटको फैलावट निरन्तर परिवर्तन हुन्छ। त्यसैले बोटको उमेर, जात, माउबोट, वृद्धि
अवस्था तथा उत्पादन क्षमताअनुसार प्रत्येक वर्ष काँटछाँट गर्नुपर्छ।काँटछाँटको
उद्देश्य धेरै हाँगा हटाउनु होइन; सन्तुलित वृद्धि, पर्याप्त फल दिने कोपिलाको
विकास, प्रकाश तथा हावाको उचित वितरण र नियमित गुणस्तरीय उत्पादन कायम
गर्नु पनि हो। कमजोर, रोगी, सुक्खा, आपसमा जेलिएका, घस्सिएका, एकअर्कालाई
छायाँ पार्ने तथा अत्यधिक ठाडो पानीसरा हटाउनुपर्छ। फल दिने कोपिला सुरक्षित
राख्दै नयाँ पालुवा र फल दिने पुराना संरचनाबीच सन्तुलन कायम गर्नुपर्छ। सबै नयाँ
हाँगा काटेर हटाउनु हुँदैन। गर्मी याममा अत्यधिक पालुवा बढेर बोटको छत्र बाक्लो भएको
अवस्थामा आवश्यकताअनुसार (जो ठाडो भै गएका छन् ति चोर हांगा/पानीसरा) लाई
हटाउनु पर्दछ। यसबाट प्रकाश र हावाको आवागमनमा सुधार भई फलको रङ तथा गुणस्तरमा सुधार
हुन्छ ।
लिची फल टिप्दा डाँठको केही भागसहित सावधानीपूर्वक टिपौँ
उत्पादनोपरान्त क्षति कम गरौं ।
लिची फल टिप्दा फललाई मात्र तानेर छुट्याउनुको सट्टा फलको
गुच्छासँगै डाँठको केही भाग राखेर सावधानीपूर्वक टिप्नु राम्रो हुन्छ। यसरी टिपिएको लिचिमा ओसारपसारका क्रममा चोटपटक लाग्ने
सम्भावना कम हुन्छ र फलको गुणस्तर कायम राख्न सहयोग पुग्छ। हांगा सहित फल टिप्दा
आगामी वर्षका लागि नयाँ फल लाग्ने हाँगाको विकास हुन सहयोग पुग्छ। फललाई तानेर, झारेर
टिप्दा फलको बोक्रामा चोट लाग्न सक्छ यसको अलावा केहि हांगासहित टिप्नु वैज्ञानिक
दृष्टिकोणले उचित हुने र फलको भण्डारण
क्षमतामा समेत बृद्दिहुन जान्छ ।
आँपमा फूल फुल्नुअघि सिंचाइको उचित व्यवस्थापन गरौँ
“आँपमा पानीको मात्रा मात्र
होइन, फल उत्पादनका लागि पानी दिने समय पनि
महत्वपूर्ण हुन्छ!”
आँपमा फूल फुल्नुअघि बोटको बानस्पतिक बृद्दि र फल दिने
प्रक्रियाबीच सन्तुलन आवश्यक हुन्छ। स्वस्थ तथा परिपक्व बोटमा फूल फुल्नुअघि अत्याधिक
सिँचाइ दिंदा फूल दिने पालुवा बानस्पतिक पालुवामा परिणत भैदिने हुंदा नयाँ पालुवा
तथा हाँगाको वृद्धि बढ्न जान्छ र फूल फुल्ने प्रक्रियामा प्रतिकूल असर पुग्दछ ।त्यसैले
फूल फुल्ने समयअघि अनावश्यक रूपमा सिंचाइ बन्द गरि फूल फूलेपश्चात् मात्र यथासक्य सिँचाइ
व्यवस्थापन गर्नु वैज्ञानिक मानिएको छ ।तर लामो समयसम्म गम्भीर सुख्खा परेको
अवस्थामा भने बोटलाई अत्यधिक तनावमा राख्नु पनि उचित हुँदैन। त्यसैले माटोमा
चिस्यानको अवस्था र बोटको जैविक आवश्यकता
अनुसार सन्तुलित सिँचाइ गर्नुपर्छ।त्यसैले “आँपमा फूल फुल्ने समयको
विज्ञान बुझौँ, र सिचाइको व्यवस्थापन गरी उत्पादन
बढाऔँ।”
केरामा स्वस्थ तरबारे सकर प्रयोग गरौँ
केराको रोपण सामग्रीका लागि तरबारे सकर बढी उपयुक्त हुन्छ।
यसको सुरुवाती पात साँघुरो र तरबारजस्तो हुन्छ तथा यसमा बलियो जरा र राम्रोसँग
विकसित भूमिगत काण्ड हुन्छ।
यस्तो सकर खेतमा राम्रोसँग स्थापित भएर बलियो बोट वृद्धि
गर्न र राम्रो उत्पादन दिन सक्षम हुन्छ। यसको तुलनामा पानी सकर कमजोर र फराकिलो
पात भएको हुन्छ तथा व्यावसायिक उत्पादनका लागि उपयुक्त मानिदैन ।
त्यसैले स्वस्थ, रोगरहित र राम्रो उत्पादन
दिने मातृबोटबाट बलियो तरबारे सकर छनोट गरी रोपण गर्नुपर्छ।साथै एउटा घरीमा बढिमा
३ वटा मात्र केराका बोट (तरबारे सकर) राखेमा उत्पादन बढि हुने र
बोटमा रोगकिरा व्यवस्थापन गर्न पनि सहज हुन्छ ।
फलफूलका बोटलाई अत्यधिक फलको भार नदिऔँ
“बोटको क्षमता अनुसार मात्र
फल राखौँ, अत्याधिक फललाई पत्लयाऔं ।
एउटै बोटमा अत्यधिक फल राख्दा उपलब्ध खाना, पानी
र पोषक तत्त्व धेरै फलमा बाँडिनुपर्छ। यसले फलको आकार, रङ, स्वाद
तथा अर्को वर्षको फल धारणमा समेत असर पार्दछ । त्यसैले आवश्यकताअनुसार कमजोर, रोगी
तथा अत्यधिक साना फल हटाई स्वस्थ फललाई उचित दूरीमा राख्नुपर्छ यसबाट गुणस्तरका
फलहरु उत्पादन गर्न सकिन्छ र अर्को बर्षका लागि समेत फल लाग्ने अवस्थालाई सहज
बनाउन मद्दत गर्दछ ।त्यसैले धेरै
फल उत्पादन गर्न भन्दा र गुणस्तरीय फल उत्पादन गरौं।”
“Healthy Fruit Orchards, Excellent
Production”
To obtain good production from fruit cultivation, every
activity—from selecting healthy planting materials to harvesting—must be
carried out at the right time and in the right way. Healthy seedling production
in nurseries, proper orchard spacing and structure, balanced water and nutrient
management, regular training and pruning, timely identification and appropriate
management of pests and diseases, and careful harvesting all help improve both
yield and fruit quality. Therefore, let us make “Right Planting Material,
Right Management, Quality Production” the guiding principle of fruit
cultivation.
In Protected Nursery Structures for Citrus,
Adopt a Double-Door System to Protect Seedlings from Pests and Diseases and
Produce Healthy Planting Materials
“Healthy seedlings are the first foundation of a healthy
orchard!”
The future of a fruit orchard is largely determined in
the nursery. Therefore, the seeds, scion materials, and mother plants used in
the nursery should be healthy and free from diseases. The nursery should be
kept clean, adequate ventilation and light should be maintained, waterlogging
should be prevented, and diseased seedlings should be immediately separated and
properly destroyed.
Diseases and pests can enter the nursery from outside
through people, footwear, tools, and other means. Therefore, wherever possible,
a two-layer or double-door entry system should be adopted at the nursery
entrance. When one door is closed before opening the other, the risk of
introducing external contamination can be reduced. Unnecessary entry of people
into the nursery should be restricted, and all tools and materials used inside
the nursery should be kept clean.
“Keep the nursery clean, prevent pests and diseases from
entering; produce healthy seedlings and establish healthy orchards.”
Identify Pests and Diseases Early and
Adopt Integrated Management
“When pests and diseases are few, control is easier; when
they spread, management becomes costly!”
Plants in nurseries and orchards should be inspected
regularly. When early symptoms of a disease or pest infestation are observed,
first identify the problem correctly and only then select an appropriate
management measure.
Whenever possible, infected plant parts should be pruned
and removed, diseased leaves and fruits should be destroyed, the orchard should
be kept clean, insects should be physically removed where practical, and
adequate light and air movement should be maintained. Biological and other
non-chemical methods should be used whenever appropriate.
Pesticides should be used only when necessary and
according to official recommendations. If pesticide use becomes necessary, the right
pesticide, right dose, right timing, and right method of application should
be followed.
Diseased and infected branches removed during pruning
should not be left inside the orchard. Such branches can become a source of
disease spread. Pruning tools should also be properly cleaned.

last resort.”
Conserve Healthy Seedling Plants and
Develop Good Mother Plants
“Do not destroy healthy seedling plants; build the
foundation for strong mother plants!”
Plants produced from seeds are called seedling plants.
Such plants can generally develop strong and deep root systems. Therefore,
healthy seedling plants can be useful for developing good mother plants capable
of tolerating drought, unfavorable soil conditions, and different environmental
stresses.
A healthy seedling plant can be used as a rootstock by
grafting a desirable fruit variety onto it. Therefore, healthy seedling plants
should not be unnecessarily destroyed; instead, they should be properly
conserved and managed.
Select Quality Grafted Plants for
Establishing Fruit Orchards
“Choose good grafted plants, obtain early and uniform
production!”
When establishing a fruit orchard, healthy, disease-free,
and true-to-type grafted plants should be selected. Grafted plants generally retain
the desirable characteristics of the mother plant and usually begin bearing
earlier than plants raised from seeds. They can also be suitable for
high-density orchard systems.
The use of suitable rootstocks can help with plant size
management, adaptation to soil and environmental conditions, and tolerance to
certain diseases and unfavorable conditions. Using quality grafted plants of
the same variety also helps maintain uniformity in fruit size, taste, color,
and production.
“Use a good mother plant and graft the desired variety to
establish a high-quality orchard.”
Protect the Graft Union and Remove the
Binding Material at the Right Time
“Keep the graft union above the soil, never buried below
it!”
When planting a grafted plant, the graft union should
remain clearly above the soil surface. If the graft union is buried, the scion
may develop its own roots. This can weaken or alter the expected benefits of
the rootstock. Excessive soil moisture around the graft union may also create
additional problems.
Unwanted shoots arising from the rootstock below the
graft union should be removed regularly.
After successful grafting, the plastic tape or other
binding material should be inspected periodically. If it is left tied for too
long, the growing stem may become constricted, creating a ring-like girdling
effect and interfering with the movement of water, nutrients, and plant sap.
Once the graft union has become sufficiently strong, the binding material
should be carefully removed.
“Make the graft, keep the graft union above the soil, and
remove the binding material at the right time.”
Provide Water and Nutrients According
to Plant Requirements
“Not too much water—give the right amount at the right
time; not too much fertilizer—give what the soil and plant require!”
The water requirement of fruit trees varies according to
plant age, variety, soil type, weather, growth stage, and fruiting condition.
Water requirements may differ during flowering, fruit setting, fruit
development, and fruit ripening. Therefore, the same amount of water should not
be applied at all times.
Through drip irrigation, the required amount of
water can be delivered directly to the root zone. Water-soluble fertilizers can
also be supplied through irrigation, allowing nutrients to reach the root zone
efficiently. This practice of supplying nutrients along with irrigation water
may be referred to as fertilizer application through irrigation.
However, applying excessive fertilizer or water does not
necessarily increase production. Excess fertilizer can damage roots, increase
salt accumulation in the soil, and increase unnecessary production costs.
Therefore, fertilizer quantity should be determined based on soil testing,
plant condition, expected production, and weather conditions.
Water should also not be allowed to accumulate in the
orchard. Roots require oxygen as well as water, so proper drainage must be
maintained.

understand the plant before supplying water; increase production wisely.”
Give Trees the Proper Shape and
Practice Regular Pruning
“Give the tree the right shape and allow sunlight and air
to reach the inner canopy!”
If fruit trees are allowed to grow without proper
management, the canopy can become excessively dense. In such conditions,
sunlight and air movement inside the canopy are reduced, disease risk
increases, and fruit color, size, and quality may decline.
From the early stage of plant development, the main stem
and primary branches should be trained in appropriate directions. Strong
branches spreading outward at approximately 60–90 degrees from the main stem
may be retained. Intertwined branches, inward-growing branches, weak, dry,
diseased, rubbing branches, and excessively upright water shoots should be
removed.
Proper training and pruning help strengthen the tree and improve
the distribution of light and air throughout the canopy.

Prune Apple Trees Every Year and Carry
Out Necessary Summer Management
“Apple pruning is not simply cutting branches; it is
lifelong management of the tree!”
As an apple tree grows, new branches, fruiting buds, and
canopy structure continuously change. Therefore, pruning should be carried out
every year according to the age of the tree, variety, rootstock, vigor, and
production capacity.
The objective of pruning is not to remove as many
branches as possible, but to maintain balanced growth, sufficient
development of fruiting buds, proper distribution of light and air, and regular
production of quality fruits.
Weak, diseased, dry, crossing, rubbing, excessively
shading, and excessively upright water shoots should be removed. A balance
should be maintained between fruiting structures and new shoots while protecting
fruiting buds. Not all new shoots should be removed.
During summer, when excessive shoot growth makes the
canopy too dense, some unnecessary water shoots may be removed according to the
tree’s condition. This can improve light penetration and air movement and may
contribute to better fruit color and quality.
However, excessive removal of green leaves and branches
